II. Managing and Securing your iPods
  1. Identify secure storage location for iPods
  2. Determine when & where iPods can be charged
  3. Establish student check out/check in system for in-class use
  4. Establish Rules of Use

  1. Privilege, not a Right
  2. Keep visible on desk when in use
  3. When listening to a book, keep eyes on the text
  4. Check in & out with the class period
  5. No one leaves the classroom when iPods are in use

C.  Recording a Voice Memo   
 1.  Turn on your iPod   
 2. Plug in the Thumbtack Microphone    
3.  Select “Voice Memos”   
 4. Select “Start Recording”    
5.  Speak into the Microphome to record – be careful not to get too close to  the microphone    
6. Press “Menu” to stop the recording    
7. Select Stop and Save

IV. Adding Video Content

A. United Streaming
  
1. Find a video.   
2. Select QuickTime for media type.   
3. Click the disk icon next to the desired segment.  
 4. Select Movies in iTunes source panel.   
5. Drag and drop video from desktop into iTunes.  
 6. Select the video in iTunes.   
7. Select "Covert video for iPod" from the Advanced menu.   
8. Wait.  
 9. Delete the .mov file.  
10. Sync.

B. Teacher Tube


1. Windows users can use TeacherTube Downloader. It will download and convert video for iTunes and iPod. Sign into teachertube.com   
2. Find a video.   
3. Click the link to download the video to your desktop (it will end with .flv).   4. Go to media-convert.com.  
 5. Click browse and locate the .flv file.   
6. Select "IPOD MP4 Video" for Output.   
7. Click the Accept box.  
 8. Click Convert button.  
 9. Wait.  
10. Click the Download button.  
11. Select Movies in iTunes source panel.  
12. Drag and drop video from desktop into iTunes.  
13. Sync.
