This professional development strand is for new elementary Special Education- General Education co-teaching partners. Teachers must register as part of a team and attend all four sessions. New co-teaching teams include teachers who have no training in collaboration / co-teaching OR who only attended the 3-hour Opening Week co-teaching session on co-teaching and would like to go deeper with the topics. The sessions are organized so that the mornings are focused on professional development topics (collaboration overview, co-teaching approaches, going deeper in planning, using assessment for planning instruction, etc) and the afternoons are time for team planning.  

There are a total of 80 – 100 registration slots available for this PD series. Half of the slots will be for SE-GE co-teaching partners and half of the slots for ELL- GE co-teaching partners. Please register by printing off the attached enrollment form, filling in your team information and faxing it to Kaola Yang, ELL Department, at 293-5411 by October 20th. We will you register you on PD Express. After your team is registered contact either ELL or SE for the Substitute Teacher Code.
