Reminders on Decision Making Process for the MTAS 11/17/2008 TO: All Special Education Case Managers & Building Administrators FROM: Barbara Stilwell, Ed.D. Supervisor, Continuous Improvement The purpose of this document is to assist IEP teams in making annual decisions about student participation in the MTAS. The MTAS is an alternate assessment for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. As a reminder, decisions on how a student will participate in statewide testing must be made on an individual basis and should be made separately for each subject area test (reading, math, and science). |
